Carbon is a delicious, sweet, smoky, black tomato with rich early flavor. It’s similar to Cherokee Purple but is a more compact plant and the fruit are a bit more resistant to cracking. Several people have reported that it bears heavier than Cherokee Purple but that has not been my experience. Carbon was a taste test winner at the Cornell Research Farm.
