AKA oregano brujo, mexican mint, Indian borage, french thyme, spanish thyme
Cuban Oregano is a semi-succulent in the Lamiaceae family (mint). It is not a true oregano in the family, Origanum, but has a scent characteristic of the true oreganos. The flavor is stronger and more robust than Greek Oregano. It prefers to grow with a bit of shade, (but will do just fine in full sun) and also likes to be on the drier side. It makes a good houseplant, and works well with a hanging basket or upright pot.
